Day 8 (13 May 2024) - Laminectomy 2nd Anniversary

Although this was posted on the 14th of May it's the post from the 13th - I had no internet at my campground

Today was kind of special as it was the 2nd anniversary of my Laminectomy. Long story short I had a cyst in my spinal column which pinched the nerves. It was so bad I couldn't walk without falling so out came the saw and no more cyst. Felt grateful to be hiking on the trail and biking on gravel roads.

This is turning out to be harder than I thought - hiking on the trail and biking the same distance on gravel with my fat tire bike is a workout. I'm tired.

I'm camping tonight at Beaver Lake NF Campground. So far I'm the only one here.

Today I did 3 separate hikes and 3 separate bike shuttles. Riding my bike wouldn't be so tiring if it wasn't for the damn hills. I haven't rode my bike in 2 years so I'm also getting in shape.
