All but 1/4 mile of today's bike shuttling was on pavement. I prefer gravel but pavement is faster and easier. It was somewhat disconcerting to be grinding slowly up hill and see other cyclists flying down the hill on the other side.
It's supposed to rain tonight and my campsite is over twenty miles from tomorrows start so I came home - a hot shower was definitely nice. Tomorrow (tentatively) will be shuttled by Deb picking me up at the end.
Met the couple from yesterday with the 3 dogs and this time the aggressive dog was really aggressive - he damn near got stabbed by my hiking pole - if someone has no control over their aggressive dog why wouldn't they have it on a leash on trail. Ughh.
Last evening at the campground I met a guy bikepacking with his dog who has a website that I'm familiar with - definitely going to pay more attention to it now - his website is about bikepacking/gravel cycling in northern WI
Finally - the mosquitos arrived in full force. With a mile to go I finally had to put on my head net. Should be an interesting next couple of weeks.
