Deb dropped me off this morning at the bridge over the Montreal River - the eastern terminus of the Wisconsin portion of the NCNST.  My car was parked on US-2, 8 miles away and almost 600 feet above Lake Superior (where I stopped for coffee).  Given that I'm on a connecting link (no actual trail - just road) it was quite scenic and pleasant.

I abhor straight sections of road when walking - can  you say boring as hell?
